Meet Risa
Risa James Photography provides beautiful professional photos of your product in a styled but realistic way, allowing you to attract more fans to your brand.
Hey, thanks for stopping by! I'm Risa Weaver-Enion, the photographer behind Risa James Photography. (James is my middle name - people are often confused by this.) I've been taking photos since I was a kid in the '80s. I actually got my first camera by selling wrapping paper door-to-door to earn enough points for the camera in the prize catalog. It was a little Kodak 110 film camera (this was before digital cameras existed, lol), but don't worry, I've upgraded since then!
I love photography because it helps me remember places I've been and things I've seen and done (and eaten, haha). When I started taking photography seriously a few years ago, I started by shooting family photos of my brothers and their families. I still do a bit of family photography, but my real love is inanimate objects.
My husband and I are way into craft cocktails and wine collecting, so it seemed like a natural fit to focus my photography on booze. Ask me about my Secret Boozehound Calendar.... And what goes hand-in-hand with booze? Food! Because I also really love eating. Just ask my pants.
For small businesses, it's not just about having beautiful professional photos of your product or creation, it's about drawing in and attracting your potential customers. More sales on Etsy. More visits to your blog or website. More fans of your work. I specialize in natural-looking styled photos—not overly stylized or heavily edited.

"Risa knows how to take killer photos that drive engagement. She creates fabulous cocktail and bottle images [of our rum], all of which help drive our brand awareness. We needed help growing our followers and keeping them engaged. That's where Risa came in. At the end of the day, we want our fans to look at our photos and appreciate the setting and the cocktail for what it is. Risa's images inspire. We're glad to have partnered with her."
